I kept Christmas decorating in my dining room simple this year. Just a couple of wreaths, a length of garland, and red ribbon. It's certainly much more simple than our snowy, winter wonderland dining room decorating from last year ( see more here).

It wouldn't be Christmas (or any other holiday for that matter) in my dining room if I didn't put a little ribbon and some garland on the chandelier.
Of course, our dough trough advent wreath still has center stage in the middle of the table while paper whites are blooming happily on the sideboard beside a bowl filled with the pine cones that I bleached (here)
I have to admit that my favorite part of the dining room decorating this year is the vintage antelope/deer head which was a gift from sweet friend from his mother's French home.
The deer (antelope?) seems pretty happy with his wreath and red bow, doesn't he?!
My oldest will be home from college today and I feel like the Christmas season can officially begin.
