As I know I've probably mentioned several times, I have a dear friend named Sadie who is an incredibly talented florist and who owns The English Garden Flower Shop in Clarendon Hills.
Sometimes, she lets me come "play" at her shop. Since I have Saturdays free now that our home is up for sale and I can't make a mess, for the last three weekends, I've been helping out with the floral set up portion of a few events. The first one was Esther's Bat Mitzvah for which I made a hand painted canvas sign with reclaimed wood frame
Then, last weekend, it was a wedding and this weekend, there was another wedding. I forgot to bring my camera to the first two events but today I remembered it and I'm so thankful that I did.
Here's a little peek at some of the amazing and personal handmade details for the wonderful wedding that I got to help set up at today. There were burlap table runners and different sizes of Mason Jars filled with flowers and tied with burlap ribbon. Check out the adorable stenciled burlap and wood table numbers too!
The board for escort cards was white burlap and had a reclaimed wood frame with burlap flowers in the corner. The cards were held on by vintage buttons! The base of the table was sprinkled with rose petals. The bride and her friends thought of so many lovely details. It was the perfect mix of vintage and new.
There were three different types of centerpieces...some had lanterns in them and others were cylindrical vases while the third were groups of mason jars. I loved the variety and having a mix of elements made the room feel warm and intimate.
The bride's toss bouquet was my favorite shade of blush. The colors of this wedding were cheery and sunny and the bride was beautiful!!! I actually got to see her for just a moment...and I was so speechless that I didn't take a photo!
There were so many details that I wish that I'd gotten photos of but I was actually there to help. There was a sweet table filled with wonderful vintage details and milk glass. I saw signs for macaroons in lots of yummy flavors but we were finished setting up before they arrived.
What started out to be a rainy Saturday turned into a gorgeous, clear, sunny summer's day...a perfect day for a wedding that was so obviously filled with love. I'm so happy that I was able to help...even a little bit. Congratulations, Lauren and Josh! Here's to a lifetime of days that are as sunny and happy and full of love as today was!
