Vintage Market Recap - WARNING: HEAVY PHOTO CONTENT

This weekend, I was blessed to be a part of a wonderful, Vintage Market at the home of my dear friends, Polly and Steve from Counting Your Blessings. These gracious hosts not only cleared the first floor of their historic farmhouse for this event, they also assembled a group of incredibly talented, smart, funny and crazy-talented vendors in which I was humbled to be included.

Late last fall, we first discussed having a Market in Northern Illinois in  Early March and I'll admit that I wondered whether or not we'd have a foot of snow on the ground and freezing temperatures. To say that Illinois winters are unpredictable would be an understatement! The weather was glorious with plenty of sunshine and daytime temps in the low 80's both days.

There was something for everyone. From Vintage garden decor and watering cans to  new spring lines from Counting Your Blessings, Jennifer Rizzo Design, Rebecca Ersfeld, Lillian Lou, The Empty Attic, Second Hand Rose, Nellie's Barn, Sue Dailey, Karen Alberts, Jeanine Dabson, and, of course, Serendipity.

We had two solid days of fabulous shoppers. Girlfriends, mother/daughter duo's, families with dads carrying toddlers, even a few solo guys, one of whom wanted to know, "What, exactly, IS a Vintage Market?" Needless to say, we were happy to show him! We had a pair of gals who traveled from Iowa for the market as well as one blog follower who made the trip all the way from Nebraska!

There were plenty of  smiles, good humor and fellowship shared among this group of gals; some of whom have been lifelong friends and others who will be from now forward,  but not a single photo of all of us together. I do, however, have vivid mental images of each of these smiling ladies and the warm feeling left from hugs exchanged as we parted that I will cherish until next time!
